Jane Street Community Garden is at 103 Jane Street, West End. Established by Micah Projects in 2013, the not-for-profit garden connects people interested in growing food and sustainable living. Micah says volunteers maintain around 200 varieties of edible plants.

Choose how to take part
Micah lists several ways in: attend a workshop or event, volunteer, rent a growing plot, or support the garden through donations and sponsorship. These are different commitments; contact the team on 0417 801 024 to ask which suits you.

Interested in your own growing space?
The garden’s plot-holder information describes raised beds measuring 3 by 1 metres and 600 millimetres high, with irrigation and protective mesh. The published rental is $250 plus GST for 12 months, with a possible second year and a two-year maximum.
Ask about current vacancies or a waiting list before making plans. The page describes six rental plots; that is not a live count of available spaces. Confirm the price and terms directly before paying.
